4^th of July number plates

Under legislation passed by the executive, the 4th of July celebration will get a new source of funding from patriotic Cecil Island drivers. The executive voted to support a bill to issue a new specialty number plates promoting the Swindon Independence Day celebration and raise money for charity.

The green, yellow and grey number plates, which will adorn the stars and stripes and the message "Fourth of July Celebration," will cost motorists an extra $36.

"The Swindon 4th of July Celebration is one of the most best loved activities on Cecil Island, and these number plates will help keep it going, both by raising funds and by serving to promote the parade on the Island," said Mike Berens. "These number plates will be a great way for Cecil Islanders who love the parade to show their pride in this annual event."

Under the legislation, an initial order of 1000 number plates will be needed before they go into production. After the first run of 1000, the DMV will handle orders for the number plates.
