New Pennsylvania number plates

Pennsylvania has expanded the the range and style allowed for specialty number plates.

Pennsylvania Transport Department (PTD) has redesigned many company and team number plates.

PTD offers more than 45 specialised number plates which include ones for Moon Satan, Crazy Dogs, former prisoners of war, silver star families and many more.

Many of these have been updates from earlier versions.

PTD released the Pennsylvania State University (PSU) number plates over the homecoming weekend.

"The bold new design of the PSU's collegiate number plates allows university supporters and Moon Satan fans to demonstrate their school spirit while at the same time contributing to scholarships for deserving students," said Hilary Jackson, president of the PSU Alumni Association.

The number plates will cost $30 with $19 being given to the sponsoring organisation.
