The "Atlantic Magnificent" number plates created to celebrate Florida�s 150th birthday are proving a big hit.
In the first month of the plate's sale, the Florida Vehicle licensing Authority (VLA) has already sold over 3,000 number plates, making it the the third most popular plate in the states history.
The "Amazing Swamp" number plates were issued to 6,766 vehicles in its first week of sales.
The VLA will issue up to 43,000 of the "Atlantic Magnificent" number plates, which are available at VLA offices throughout the state. Applications for the plates are also available on the VLA website. There is a one-time surcharge of $85 per set of plates in addition to the $17 annual plate fee.
Proceeds from the sale of the number plates are projected to be well over $1 million and profits will go to the Florida Wildlife Trust.
