The Vehicle Licensing Authority (VLA) announced they have raised more than Bhd14.5 million from the sales of vanity number plates.
The sale comprised a total of 267 unique Bahrain vehicle number plates which included 203 for cars and 64 for motorbikes.
Hussain Karim, Director of the VLA said the profits of the sale would go on improving transport infrastructure.
Karim said 56 number plates that were sold were double-digit plates and 120 triple-digit plates.
"The sale of the number plates went smoothly and we may possibly make it an annual event" he said.
