Pittsfield officials have signed a bill that authorises a Pittsfield number plates for the Blue Eagles designated charities. Proceeds from the sales of the number plates, which will feature the Blue Eagles crest, will benefit local charities.
The signing ceremony in the Town Hall also featured the the 2009-10 'Make homelessness history' campaign, an initiative that was started in 2006.
The bill, a Blue Eagles press release said, "allows Pittsfield people to buy the special Blue Eagles number plates for a surcharge of $38.00 over the amount. Of that fee, $19 will go into the state's coffers and $19 will go to the Blue Eagles designated charities.
The final design of the number plates have yet to be approved by the state police.
