Number plates gaffe upsets local woman

When Yvonne Greenfield turned up at the Parkstone Vehicle Bureau to get her new number plates, she ended up getting quite a surprise.

Yvonne wanted to make sure her new number plates did not contain a z in them as she had been rear-ended three times with plates that included the letter. There certainly wasn't a z, but the new number plates spelled out altogether distateful -- WE4 HOR.

"When I got in the car and looked at the number plates I did a double take at what I saw, and I thought oh my god. Then when my daughter Nicole saw them she said, there is no way I´┐Żll travel in that car if those number plates are on it, can you imagine some of the comments and laughs it would get our expense" said Greenfield.

Yvonne was told she'd have to pay $20 for new number plates, which she was not willing to do. Her robust complaints about that sequence of letters made sure she got a new set of number plates for free.
